Regarding: Humana / HumanaOne – Change of Hierarchy / Blackout Period

In an effort to maintain top commission levels and service with Humana’s Medicare and Individual Health products, we will be moving our contract under Senior Market Sales (SMS). This change will have no impact on your renewal commissions or on any business recently submitted to Humana.

All Advisors will continue to submit Humana business normally until Friday, July 1st.

Unfortunately, this is not a simple process to make these changes and as a result, we will need the assistance from those advisors already with an active appointment with Humana.

On Tuesday, July 5th, your current appointment with Humana will be terminated so that we can move it under SMS. To facilitate the appointment change, you will receive an email (on July 6th) which will be the contracting invitation to Humana’s online contracting system with instructions to complete this ASAP. Your SAN number will not change nor will you need to re-certify for 2016.

In addition, in order to make sure there is a smooth transition of this move, we will have a 10 day ‘black out’ period whereby no new business can be submitted to Humana between Tuesday, July 5th and Friday, July 15th.It is important that all Advisors complete the online contracting during this time period.

We understand this can be an inconvenience in serving your client’s needs but this is needed so that we remain in compliance and insure a positive client experience during this transition.

The submission of new business will resume on Monday, July 18th assuming the advisor completed the online contracting sent on July 6th.

It is our hope that you can submit all your business in time for your July 1st effective date and beginning on July 18th provide enough time to submit business with an August 1st effective date.
